New brand. Six years behind the chair.

Soldy Locks is a brand-new pro hair extension brand from Em, the founder of Em Hair Artistry. She's been doing extensions for about six years, and she's been working on Soldy since mid-2024.

It's made for the people who actually put the hair in: extension specialists, freelance hairdressers and salon owners.

Five decisions worth talking about.

Premium quality is the foundation, and these five product decisions are the proof. Each one was made on purpose by Em, and each one gives the content something beautiful to show.

A custom colour range, not a factory catalogue.

Instead of picking from a factory's standard colour list, Soldy built its own range of 25 shades.

On socialShade reveals, swatch close-ups and "meet the 25".

These come from Em, so we'll talk about them as choices she made. No test results, no guarantees and no digs at other brands.

Proposed positioning

Where good taste meets great hair.

Soldy Locks brings a fresh perspective to professional hair extensions, combining considered quality, expert-led product development and an effortlessly cool approach to beauty.

The cool-girl brand of professional hair extensions: the desirability of a contemporary beauty label, backed by the quality and credibility of a premium supplier. Accessible premium that feels modern and culturally relevant.

Three qualities every post reinforces

  1. 01

    Premium quality

The foundation. Custom colours, fuller ends, batch-to-batch consistency and thoughtful development.

  2. 02

    Cool-girl desirability

A contemporary, fashion-forward identity professionals genuinely want to be associated with.

  3. 03

    Professional credibility

Developed by an experienced extension specialist who knows what professionals need from their hair.

The Modern Extension Professional.

Not the person wearing the extensions. The person putting them in. They're proud of their work, they're on Instagram, and they're building their own name or salon brand.

  • 01Independent extension specialists
  • 02Boutique salon owners
  • 03Hairdressers offering weft services
  • 04Salon owners buying for their team

21–45

They love a relaxed, minimal, Pinterest-y look that feels real, not overly polished or salesy. They love their job, and their life outside the salon too. Their clients tend to be long-term extension wearers who see their hair as an investment.

What matters to them

Hair that gives them beautiful results, every single time.

So Soldy showsClose-ups, finished results and the details behind the hair.

The audience insight

They're not just buying hair. They're choosing something that shows up in their work, their clients' experience and the business they're building.

So Soldy talks to them like business owners, creatives and real people, never just wholesale accounts.

The Professional Hair Club.

This is the brand world we'd build: part beauty magazine, part slow-fashion label, part pro hair brand. Think the calm of Pink La Blonde with the product creativity of Crown Affair. It stands out because the ideas are strong, not because every graphic is busy.

Palette

Butter, cream and a little chrome.

A butter-yellow moodboard: whipped butter, a cream blouse, vanilla ice cream and a Pantone chip reading #F6EACC Butter Yellow

Butter yellow comes from your moodboard (Pantone #F6EACC). The rest is pulled straight from your hair pouch, so the feed and the packaging feel like one brand. Chrome stays a little detail.

Straight from the pouch. The base of the feed and every background that needs warmth.

Roughly how much of each we'd use across the grid. Butter yellow is the accent, so it stays special.

Feed preview

Two ways the grid could go.

Same logo, same palette, same voice. One leans into real salon work, the other into butter-yellow editorial. We'd pick a lead and borrow from the other.

Feed direction 01: the Soldy Locks logo on butter, a glossy blonde blowout, a weft draped over a magazine, pinned curls, a magazine spread on the install, a Soldy Locks card clipped into dark hair, polaroids with a handwritten note, a salon blowout and a round brush through blonde hair

Direction 01

Behind the Chair

  • Real work leads. Blowouts, pinned sets and installs, so it feels made by people who actually do hair.
  • The brand lives in the work. A card clipped into a section, a magazine spread on the install.
  • Warm and lived-in. Polaroids and handwritten notes keep it personal, not polished.

Best forBuilding trust with stylists fast. Leans on Education & Trust and Founder Expertise.

Feed direction 02: the Soldy Locks logo on butter, a hand holding a blonde weft, a polaroid with a butter-yellow brush and a product label, a weft mid-install, a retro hair editorial, a round brush through blonde hair, a butter-yellow Pantone moodboard, a glossy blonde blowout and a Soldy Locks thank-you card

Direction 02

Butter & Chrome

  • Butter holds it together. The logo tile, the brush, the Pantone moodboard and the thank-you card pull one soft yellow through the grid.
  • Editorial with a wink. Retro hair campaigns and product labels make it feel like a beauty label, not a supplier.
  • Hair is still the hero. Wefts in hand, mid-install, on the brush and blown out.

Best forStanding out and building desire before launch. Leans on Brand & Culture and Product Showcase.

Both grids mix Soldy mock-ups with mood references from other brands. They show direction, not finished posts.

One proper content session a month, topped up with quick phone clips while you're working anyway.

01Rotate formats

One clip can be a Reel, a carousel and a photo. Mixing it up keeps the feed fresh without needing loads of content.

02Lean on voiceovers

Talk over application, product or manufacturing footage. Em's knowledge still comes through, without her having to be on camera.

03Refresh hooks that work

If a hook works, use it again a few weeks later with new footage or a new angle. Don't retire it.
